On the Portal: September 2026 investment opportunities

Welcome to another edition of On the Portal, our regular snapshot of some of the investment opportunities currently available through the SCP Investor Portal.  

Spring is here, and the investment team continues to see a steady flow of funding proposals coming through from mortgage advisers. While our focus remains on selecting opportunities that meet our lending criteria, this month investors will see a good mix of residential investment and construction opportunities on the Portal.

The opportunities featured below range from newly built residential properties in Warkworth and Bucklands Beach to a residential construction project in Papatoetoe. Residential construction lending relates to funding for property development, such as the six new townhouses planned for the Papatoetoe site featured this month.

As always, the details matter. Each listing on the Investor Portal includes information such as the property type, location, loan term, interest rate, LVR, and other details that help investors understand what sits behind the opportunity.

Here is a snapshot of some of the opportunities currently available on the Portal:

• Residential Investment – Warkworth: Three newly built, low-maintenance residential properties within the Warkworth Ridge development. The investment has a 12-month term, an interest rate of 6.00% p.a., and an LVR of 70%.
• Residential Construction – Papatoetoe, Auckland: Six two-level, detached townhouses are planned for the site, each comprising three bedrooms, three bathrooms, two living areas, and a single garage. The investment has a 15-month term, an interest rate of 6.35% p.a., and an LVR of 70%.
• Residential Investment – Remuera, Auckland: A renovated 1930s weatherboard home in Remuera. The site is intended to be developed during the loan term, subject to the necessary building consents being obtained, with two new dwellings planned. The investment has an 18-month term, an interest rate of 6.15% p.a., and an LVR of 70%.
• Residential Investment – Bucklands Beach, Auckland: A newly built, standalone five-bedroom, three-and-a-half-bathroom home with potential for extended family living, located within the Macleans College zone. The investment has a 12-month term, an interest rate of 6.00% p.a., and an LVR of 70%.
