How to give the best application to SCP

At Southern Cross Partners, we provide short-term flexible lending solutions to get your clients from A to B. We understand some loans make perfect sense, but no matter how hard you try banks don’t want to lend on them. That’s our specialty.

In order for us to understand how we could best help your client we need all the information we can get. We’re big on communication. When you provide the information, we can turn deals around quickly.

So, here’s a breakdown of the information we need in loan applications:

Who are we talking to? We don’t lend based on algorithms. We want to know the people behind the application and why they need specialist lending.

What’s their situation? The key thing we want to know is if a loan with SCP will help put the borrower in a better position. If you can outline how this is the case, then make sure it’s in your application.

What’s the asset? Google is our best friend when it comes to property details. We use it to see listing photos alongside street view to get a feel for the property along with a physical site visit. So, the more information you can give us the better. This includes the intended LVR and an up-to-date property valuation.

What do repayments look like? We look to see if the borrower can easily make their loan repayments with us. Ensure this is outlined in your application.

How will they exit the loan? This is the second biggest question we want answered. We need to know how a person is going to exit their loan with us, and when. It could be through selling the property or refinancing with a bank, but we need to ensure a borrower can repay their loan, and they’ll be better off for it.

With all the right information provided, you can have guidance from us in a matter of hours if it’s something we can lend on. If it’s a no, we’re happy to tell you why and suggest some alternative options where possible.
