Handy tips and tricks for navigating the SCP portal
Thank you also for all the wonderful feedback we have received about the new portal. We are thrilled so many of you are finding the ordering an easier process plus having an up-to-date view of your entire portfolio anytime of the day.
We shared our best Investor Portal tips in the latest Southern Cross Partners Q&A webinar. If you couldn’t make it or want to listen again, you can watch it anytime on YouTube here.
How to log in to the portal
The first time you log in you’ll use the same username and password as you did for the old portal. Once logged in you’ll get a pop-up prompting you to change your password, and you’ll be given a temporary password.
Using this temporary password, you can log into the new Investor Portal and set that temporary password to a new, permanent password of your choosing. If you lose the temporary password, just give us a call and we will sort that out for you.
How to use the portal on your mobile phone or tablet
The Investor Portal is brand new, and although we are working on optimising it for mobile phones, iPads, and tablets, this is still a work in progress and is estimated to be available mid-December
In the meantime, we’ve found a workaround so you can still easily view the portal when you’re away from your desktop. All you do is turn your mobile device to landscape mode and select the ‘Desktop Site’. With most devices, you can do that by swiping down and turning the portrait orientation lock off, then once you’re in the portal just turn your phone to the side and the screen will rotate. Please feel free to call us for further help.
What you can view in the portal
The ‘My Investments’ tab contains all the information you need to know about your pending, current, and past investments, as well as your On Call account details. You can get here by clicking the ‘View My Current Investments’ tile, or by clicking ‘My Investments’ in the navigation bar along the top of the portal page.
With your current investments you can click through to access the loan details throughout the lifetime of the loan.
You can also send details off to your accountant in the portal. Do this by right-clicking on the grey toolbar in the ‘My Investments’ section and then clicking the ‘Export’ option.
How to print from the portal
Use the vertical grey bar to scroll through your investments and click the one you’d like to print. Scroll down to find the print button. You can’t print the main page without taking a screenshot yet, but this is one of the new features we are working on, and we’ll let you know once it's available.
If you get stuck navigating the portal, feel free to give us a call at any time. We also have PDF and video guides available on our website and in the Investor Portal to demonstrate all tasks on the portal.
